100 Things you ought (can?) know about me
- I’m a historian (I have a BA in history)
- I completed college in 3 years (which, by the way, sucks. Full year round schooling=not very fun)
- I prefer learning about the Victorian Era and i also rly love learning about the social (ie the people involved and such) in wars. Like the WWII stuff, particularly.
- I am pretty well-knowledgeable on sherlock holmes. i have a very very very keen interest in it. my favourite version would be the russian one with vitaliy solomin and vasily livanov as watson and holmes, however.
- i also greatly adore raffles, perhaps almost as much as sherlock holmes. the inverse to him and to watson by e.w. hornung so something you should definitely check out!
- I can trace my family lineage on my mother’s side back to various poets of the renaissance era, a saint, anne boleyn, elizabeth I, queen victoria, and also the current monarch today aha~ yar
- I love the Indiana Jones films and when I was a child I wanted to grow up to be him. A hard-hitting, rough-and-tumble archaeologist preserving history from the bad guys! (Nazis, I guess AHA)
- I’d like to be a writer. Like, published. I have a few stories finished they just need editing and for someone to actually want them? Aha. I suppose there’s always the self-publishing route as well, yar.
- I love classic rock. My favourite would be the beatles (george harrison!)
- I have ringo starr’s autograph! which i got from him by mailing in a fanletter…i also have the wiggles autographs (shhh) and i have robert downey jrs autograph but that was given to me so not actually obtained through my own methods yar…
- i also rly loved learning about egyptology. i still have a passing fancy for it
- used to be a raving “titaniac” as i suppose theyre called yar. I still do know a GREAT deal about it and have a number of books in my possession.
- Speaking of, I have books autographed by robert d. ballard. the man who discovered it again in 1985 (it being the titanic, of course). i also have books autographed by brian jacques, rip :( both i met in person and both are nice. brian jacques was a particularly lovely, kind man who said some very, very nice things to me so that he will definitely be missed by me.
- in fandoms and the like i tend to go after the sidekick character. not sure why but look at bunny from raffles, watson from holmes, wilson from house, and so forth :3
- i adore british comedy.
- i adore musical instruments. id rly like to play one. i can sort of bash around at the piano using incorrect technique and make it sound like some songs youve heard (anyone up for amazing grace?) altho i truly love the violin and melt when i hear it played well, guh. skilfully…
- i like warmer weather better generally and i greatly prefer weather thats foggy and gloomy and rainy. idk why i just dooo…:3
- i love moustaches. particularly handlebars. beards are ok. i used to hate them im now more neutral to them. but i do so love moustaches yar.
- i collect old stuff. like i have a collection of tintypes and cdvs from the victorian era, which are just old-timey photographs. usually men, usually with moustaches (see above note) yar. i like cdvs better, but im coming around to tintypes more and more. i also have, in my possession, a nazi armband, a coin from the civil war along with grapeshot and a cannon ball (possibly two—were not certain on the other one yar) and other old coins from different countries :3 should like to have more, though! yar
- i like handwriting in old books. i just adore it. i have a book from the 20s with an inscription, one from the teens, and i think one from either the 1850s or 1860s. i just love it. i also would like to have more letters and postcards and the like. i just find it fascinating and a quick little portal into the past. i have a card from i believe at least the 50s going on the stamp (cant see the postmark) as its old and king george…not so old but great! :3
- i love musicals. my favourites include my fair lady, phantom of the opera, 1776, wicked, the producers, mary poppins…i could go on ;3
- i can wiggle my ears

- im apparently very attached to my family
- i come from indiana altho im not too proud of my state barring that it produced one of the greatest novelists ever (and one of my favourites of all time) mr kurt vonnegut (jr)
- i still sleep with stuffed animals (like a lion named stephen i won at this 4H thing not too long ago. hes falling apart tho. got no legs!!!)
- i was in 4H because it would “look good on college applications” but in the end i was only going to apply to my first college choice. my mum had me apply to others so i did and i got accepted to all with scholarships to all. it wasnt a sense of superiority that led me to only want to apply to one rather than a variety as most kids do but rather a strong sense of laziness that courses through me even today!!!
- im a vegetarian. i dont eat meat cos i dont want to and i dont rly like the taste of meat. it was only difficult giving up (certain) chicken pieces and all sorts of fish. i dont eat meat. that doesnt mean you cant and that doesnt mean youll get preachy bullshit from me. eat all the meat that you fucking want cos id be pissed off if people were telling me i shouldnt eat vegetables because its a terrible thing. sometimes i think people are too squeamish and ~special about things.
- im pretty tolerant when it comes to other individuals like those that are gay or transsexual or wotever and i think we should all have rights and blah blah blah. that being said that doesnt mean i might not ever sort of let slip something that sounds funny. sorry! thats the way i am. like ive said “midgets” before and i guess thats not pc but again sometimes i cant help it and i try to be better? yar ;3 just human after all.
- i have this filter where i just…its…hard to cuss around my parents. a little easier around my siblings. i let loose entirely, nearly, with my friends and definitely so on the internet. so while i might be saying dang or darn or sucks irl, itll be like FUCK FUCK FUCK online if im agitated or excited or something. so expect lots of language from me! as stephen frys pointed out before, bad language doesnt necessarily mark you as being of a lower mental faculty ;3 yar
- i think my favourite food must be a potato. im quite hardpressed to find a time where ive not eaten at least SOME dish with a potato in it per day. i adooore potatoes i could and, at some points, HAVE eaten them with every meal. boiled, scalloped, baked, fried, chopped up, cooked in the oven in a special vegetarian hobo dish with celery, carrots and a dash of water, salt and pepper (mmm the last dish being, of course, one of my favourites) yar :3
- the wolf is my favourite animal. i also had a passing fancy for red-tailed hawks, fueled no doubt in part by animorphs. also we rescued one on our road once and took it to the sheriffs office :3
- my favourite colour is green! especially like a jade green hahaha inorite typical boys colour but wot can i say
- i love disney movies. OLD disney movies. well. i mean like lion king, fox and the hound, gmd, beauty and the beast, the little mermaid and so forth. not all this new stuff like wot the fuck even cars? is that disney? idk but that shit is just a fucking bomination if you ask me yar.
